Watching people buried alive in Haiti tripped me out.

Poem Artwork

I came into this crazy world born
I've seen what I've seen
I have yet to conquer
In fact I've been conquered
Seeing people buried alive
don't leave much play or jive
Yet some has got to arrive

The only positive I can come
up with inside my being
is that I'm not buried below anything
I'm still free to roam around
until one day I'm buried below the ground
Either not by choice or by death
however for now I'm still stealth
and in some what good health

Pure nightmare seems to be what life
is about sometimes for some
It's enough to make the heart
and soul numb
but we can't freeze
as long as we are living in
somewhat ease
One things for sure as long as we
are still alive life will continue to tease

Yes, death is all around us and so difficult to deal with! But even more, Yes! life must be lived, so let it tease...I like that closing line.

Inherent Chaos by Terry Vinson

The fortunate inherit riches, prestige, positive notoriety. Those not so lucky bear legacies filled with poverty, infamy or, worse yet, the unhinged insanity and murderous urges of their ancestors.
