Give me my cheese, or I'll knock you to your knees!

Poem Artwork

I didn't know then
that I'd get trapped in the den
Very seldom do I put down my pen
This maybe my plus or my sin
but every now and again
my mind travels back when
When I first began
first time jitters
were my babysitters
but they never became my quitters
even though I've ran into some very
mean critters

We all get trapped somewhere
especially if we don't leave there
Others really don't care
most have quite a bit of
hate and resentment to spare
In this world there's very little love
it's mostly a bunch of push and shove
People will act mean
before showing some love to be seen
makes no difference king or queen
Adolf Hitler started a world war
we still feel the effects of his scar
Adam got fooled by the devil
now the world is full of evil

Life traps us in a body
the challenge is to become somebody
or remain nobody
What we became
has to have a name
even to begin the game
We have a choice to just sit idly by
or do something before we die
So here I am trying to defy
still figuring on the reason why
as I continue to let my verse fly
I'm probably hooked until I die
Even in the grave then
I might still try to swing my pen

You left me in plain view of your corpse, skeletal even, swinging your pen out from the newly hoed mound, profoundly continuing in your realm of the writer! You go, One! LOL!
Love and Peace~
