Over the years I've been attacked because of my style of versing. I verse basically about life good and bad, happy and sad but some seem to think I be giving advice or trying to tell them how to live. No such bull happening here, you can take that to the think.
Writing verse becomes an obsession
and please don't write like
you're trying to teach others a lesson
You might have to pull out your
Smith and Wesson
Musicians and others can reference
advisitory lyrics in their creations
but it seems poets always have to
come up with explanations
Well maybe only OnepoetGem
It can get worse and nice
some viewers always say
that sounds like good advice
Others get highly offended
like that's what the poet intended
Then there are some that become
totally suspended
Check the "Staples Singers" lyrics
which goes something like this for the song
they maybe a little wrong dong gong
Respect Yourself
"If you disrespect everybody that
you're running to
How in the heck do you expect
everybody to respect you
If you're the kind of gentleman that
wants everything his way
take the sheet off your face boy

the man with the bible in his hand

That last line

yes and I will sing
because this is exactly what I do
my thing
Not yours, theirs or anyone elses
not even God or the devils thing
I, as many do, love what you write and if I take it to heart I do so knowing that you put it out there to be done or not, depending on the person who reads it...

I've always loved your rhyming schemes. I find them creative, a bit humorous at times, but what's most important, it's you writing them. To heck with critics of your poetry. I think it's great.
