~ Poetry ~ Lavender Rose ~ Con l'amore ~                   

Keepsake ~ pages of a book ~ pressed Lavender Rose ~  freshly
chosen by my lover ~ given to me  ~ tears glistening ~ for he is a
poet of infinite grace in his verses so vivid with romantic
splendor

Poetry lies within this book ~ to read each new day ~
ever so the glow of light  ~ streaming in the window ~
fraying edges worn ~ as to  ~ I have read them
ore and ore ~ then again 

Pondering each verse ~  con l'amore ~ kind and true
in heart ~ on the edge of lifes delight ~ given to me
each poem ~ written sweetly from his vibrant soul ~
to his breath of wonderment in loving words ~
endearing love to my heart

Gazing of the dried Lavender Rose ~ petals pressed ~
remembering its lovely scent as con l'amore exquisit
choice of Rose ~ this galant gentleman presented
to me ~ kissing my soft velvet lips ~ so sweet  ~
as the Lavender Rose ~ lay eloquently upon my  
embroiderd silk  pillow

My dear ~ my lover ~ a poet ~ warms my heart in
thought and pleasure of our days we have sought
one anothers love ~ now and forever we are one ~
softest glow of morning light  ~ con l'amore
