                      ~ Tender Promises ~

A pleasant walk along the shore

                Mist of warm morning rain

I walk alone under my Red umbrella,

Something told me today, to take the Red

                My thoughts wavering in wonder

Hi !  may I walk with you under your

                Red umbrella..I stared at him..

My manners I all but lost..

Hell-o, why yes, it would be nice

My umbrella is large enough for two

                I haven't seen you for a while

I know, just wasn't the right time

                Awaiting a rainbow, you know

                A tender romantic kiss under

                The shade of scarlet red

                Seeking each others eyes,

                Deepening the hazel, a wink,

                Emmerce a tender moment

                To their tender promise

A picture this day of hearts

                Carasmatic ventures in the

                Warm August mist, a rainbow

                Of seven colours, promise

                A promise to each other

Ever and a day ~ hearts love

He is holding the red umbrella

                Steady his strong arm

                Tender promises engaged

                Entwined hands, we gaze as

                Colours unfurl into the mist

                Of the warm August rain

                A tender romantic kiss ~

                Beneath the Scarlet Red

Thank you Mary Ann for your poem here ...'Tender Promises.' For me, it portrays ageless love, found at the end of summer on a dismal day at the ocean. You write of bright objects that change the emotions
of your characters and the story quickly turns to romance. You write
with a pureness!

The imagery is delicate and lucid: the red umbrella, the rainbow, the romantic kiss, all develop a tenderly wrought scene that could be the springboard for a Hallmark movie. Charismatic indeed Lady Mary Ann! Enjoyed ... richard
