Who would have thought that as a Senior Citizen, I would find my Knight in Shinning Armor? I did and no one could be more surprised or happier than I am.

MY KNIGHT

He may be in his 60s,

but then again so am I.

He's my knight in shinning armor

and I'll try to tell you why.

It seemed he came to rescue me

when I was lonely and sad.

He changed all those feelings,

now I'm happy and so very glad.

He was more than I expected.

He was more than I had dreamed.

His eyes sparkled with kindness.

At least that's the way it seems.

He took me into his arms,

He welcomed me into his life.

He erased the lines of worry,

He eased my days of strife.

He's so very easy going,

he helped to ease the strain.

His calm, soothing voice

helped to soothe my pain.

He brought me back to life.

 Again I had a reason

to live, love and laugh

through yet another season.

He needed someone too.

I think I filled the bill.

I want to be with him forever,

or at the very least until.......

Until our days are over,

until we cease to be,

until we both stop breathing

always we'll be we.

When I walk into my sunset,

he'll be with me all the way.

He's my knight in shinning armor.

bringing more love every day.

I call Bill my knight in shining armor, too, but I've been polishing and oiling since 1960! Just kidding; he's still my knight.
May your knight never get rusty! Very nice poem--I'm happy for you.

What a beautiful love poem and great tribute to your Knight in shinning armor. You have the best years of your lives in front of you. 60's are not old at all in this day and age. God bless both of you.

George
