THANK YOU FOR YESTERDAY

I wanted to say thank you for yesterday,
today,,,, and for tomorrow.
Every since the day we met,
you’ve been chasing away my sorrow.
Recently we both celebrated
our second Christmas together.
Now we’re facing your second birthday
and we’re talking about forever.
Of course, at our age
forever isn’t really a consideration.
But, we could stretch out our time
with just a little moderation
Yet, moderation isn’t as enjoyable
as dancing and a little booze.
So, we follow the Karaoke troop
wearing out our dancing shoes.
We have all the dancing days marked
on our entertainment calendar.
Five different nights a week
they dance if he challenges her.
Sometimes it might be the Moose
and other times the Legion.
But, no matter where we go,
it’s always dancing season.
We might go out to dinner
with friends we’ve come to know.
Or, maybe we’ll go to the Lyric
for the Bacon Brother’s show.
We recently saw Paula Poundstone
doing her standup routine.
It was really good entertainment,
though not the best we’ve ever seen.
But, a reason to get together
was all we really needed.
And, if that was one of the reasons
it’s obvious that we succeeded.
We’re learning about the Book Circuit,
although we’re a little in the dark.
So, we checked out the Farmers Market
after we finally found a place to park.
It was really well attended,
but I think we got the gist.
Either you sell a lot of books,
or it’s like another sister kissed.
We’re learning as we go,
with a trip to the Blake Library,
or maybe we’ll attend a book signing
as we plot for our next quarry.
Authors and Artists in the Park
caught our fascination,
so we entered Vero in the GPS,
cause that was our destination.
Life keeps passing by,
but lately it’s been so much fun.
Everything just seems more enjoyable,
when I’m with my special one.
We’ve done a lot of different things,
yet I think we both agree,
our best times are on the dance floor
when your arms are wrapped around me
