MY RAINBOW
Life can be stormy,
or so it may seem.
Remember that rain is needed
for a rainbow to be seen.
I was wandering along
all alone in the rain,
not knowing what to do
all wrapped up in my pain.
Every single day was
just like the one before.
I watched life through a window,
never venturing out the door.
Finally I found the courage
to take that first step.
I began to play in that rain
and haven't looked back yet.
I found my rainbow,
but not by hanging my head.
I found my rainbow
by looking forward instead.
My rainbow's name is Richard.
He brings happiness every day.
Even though it may be raining,
we still go out to play.
He washed away the loneliness
and filled my empty heart.
When he looks into my eyes
the rain clouds simply depart.
You could be happy too
with what you might find.
Each rainbow out there
is truly one of a kind.
If your days are lonely,
be brave and take a chance.
Stop watching the rain
and start learning to dance.
