Considering the things I've done
Without a second thought
Seen as "WHY NOT?"... its just fun
No consequence was sought

I saw a tiger in it's cage
Pacing round and round
While I was at a tender age (11)
I saw him as a hound

Stuck my hand right thru the fence
Reaching for his fur
I know this won't make any sense
But he arched his back and purred!!

He rubbed his side against my hand
And I could swear he smiled
If I was spotted....I'd be banned!!
For petting one so wild

Years Later........

When I was twenty three or so
Down in a southern zoo
I saw another cat.....you know
And oh no!!! Deja Vous!!

I reached across the brick wall
Put hand into the cage
Would I be tasted, bit or mauled
Or would he growl in rage???

This ocelot was friendly!!!
He purred and closed his eyes
So I guess I'm just a lucky me
True story.......I don't lie!!

KERCHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

MUU HAA HAAA

GOTCHA!

That picture is of me back in the '70's my father took the photo.  You can see the Ocelot, his name was Snoopy.  The second shot has other people in it so I blocked them out.......but swear to God thats my hand petting him or her I don't remember!  I was lucky in both circumstances...my guardian angel must have been watching over me, they were both friendly animals. If either of my children had reached into an animal cage........I would have heart failure!!!
