I gotta say the breathing thing still leaves me in a state of amazement...I can't believe that I survived so long. I definitely pushed the law of averages to the limit. several times. This is a wonderful write, Anita!

Neat twist, Anita! Until the last couplet, I was beginning to think I hadn't even got off the starting blocks - but then I KNOW for certain sure that I AM grateful for every living breath! You always pick the best quotes, too, which add to the rich flavour and "nourishment" of your writes. As usual, this one is a "stopper" and a "starter": makes you stop and think, and then to start to jaw-drop in admiration at the sage wisdom you dispense... you're a poetic apothecary, for sure!
