I like to torture them tiny cookie people, one leg at a time; then one arm at a time; then I dunk their heads in milk til they can't breathe; then I bite their heads off' and then I feed their dismembered bodies to my dogs!!!

Ed left this review on my cookie poem and I was sweetly inspired.........came up with this!

Ed Kostro The Cookie Killer!!!

A desperate cry from Cookieville
Was heard through out the land
An ogre by the name of Ed
Crushed cookies by the hand

His step of menace thundered
And cookies ran from pans
They knew that Ed was coming
With hunger more than grand

Ginger bread, and chocolate chip
Oatmeal, sugar spice
None were spared his appetite
All hid from his sight

The legends of his torture
Before the fateful bite
He munched and crunched them slowly
Then belched with pants too tight

He lived to torture cookies
One leg at a time
Gobbled arms, then dunked their heads
Into milky slime

Drowned them just for pleasure
For he  had rotton teeth
Soft now and complaint
Stored spares  in beard beneath

Mamas told their cooketts
Never disobey
For Ed has mighty hungers
And loves a sweet buffet

The cookies had a council
Ed cannot be ignored!
They made a plan of action
A recipe for war

They took some mud and water
Cement and putty paint
To mold some cookie decoys
To look like what they ain't

The cookies looked delicious
With scented butter spray
Set up in a valley
Where Ed would walk each day

Big Ed took the bait
He drooled with slobbered glee
Scooped up all the cookies
Quick as A B C

First bite broke his front teeth
Second split the bottoms
In the throes of gluttony
He never know what got 'em

Ed was in a rage
His mouth looked like a cage
From bits of cement cookies
He could not disengage!

And so the hungry giant Ed
Ran howling, with a mumble
Now you know the old cliche

Muuhaahaa

That's how the toofie crumbles!!!

No??

That's how the Eddie fumbles???

No??

Ohhhhhhhh Yeah!!

That's how the cookie crumbles!!!

Reminded me of the Blue Meanies in Yellow Submarine, only Ed was the Blue Meanie in this saga. He was sent off with crumbling teeth by their deceptive appeal. If the cookies could've sang they would have frozen big bad Ed right in his mud tracks as well!
Sumptious, Anita, an edible poem!

Poor Ogre Ed! The Tooth Fairy didn't even arrive in time to save his teeth. Serves him well for torturing little cookie nation!

Lol! Well now I understand the inspiration for Ed's poem. Brilliantly funny, Anita. Thought that review from Ed was a little
out-of-character. Is there a dark side raging beneath a tender breast? Will the beast emerge? Only the gingerbread shadow knows. Stay tuned...

This is a killer indeed -- hilarious throughout from "Cookieville" to "cookie decoys." Thanks for sharing. My best, Gloria (by the way, I've read some of fellow AD, Ed Kostro's work, I'm sure he's loving this though.)

WOT???? Is this espionage?? Sabotage??? Hmmmm.... the Hemlock Holmes in me has deep suspicions here as to the veracity of such a comment coming from such a Friend Of The Earth And Cooking as my dear old Dad, Ed... His bountiful nature for all life animate and inanimate knows no bounds and reckon it must be some Deeper Dark Force at work to undermine his A1 Lover Of Life status.... But as to this delightful poetic tale, this rocks and runs faster than the Gingerbread Man himself... (sorry, Ed... loyalty only goes so far, you know... :)) At least you can take heart that your gorgeous poetry is savoured and enjoyed one precious mouthful at a time, Anita! And I've bin here so long that Scraper Guy is making me feel sore.... Ouch on me sunburn! LOL Kate xx
