Garden Dancer - Something For A Sick Yet Treasured Friend

I wrote this poem and painted this picture for a dear friend who is riddled with cancer, and currently under going treatment. She is always in my thoughts and prayers. I chose as the subject matter two things that are close to her heart. Dancing and gardening. Everything in the picture is symbolic. There are seven canna in the picture representing her family, heart shaped leaves representing all those that know and love her, small fruits from the tree representing renewal, and a red matadors cape to be flung with abandon and defiance. Garden Dancer Let your feet touch this earth Dance the legacy of Eden For here your soul chose life and birth And thus began your seasons All you touch will bare your mark As you will bare in kind And from this bond will love embark As life is all entwined Pax A 8/13/09

Anita this is both profound and impressive, not only the photo and the poem but even the explanation for I could feel the love and pain for your friend even in the lines of that. I hope she is all right and does well but I know she well feel blessed when she sees this and knows how much she is loved.
