A poem to honor all of those who aid and assist others who are in need, whether under normal circumstances or in the wake of natural disasters or tragedy.

Every day, a moment passes
That leaves memories to last
Touching one soul or the masses
Bound within the beauty cast
Yet, as common as the practice
I still find myself amazed
By the blessings that still exist
Whenever a need is raised.

Through compassion, everlasting
Even when this world upends
Our concern is far from fasting
When we join hands and transcend
Upon those who need assistance
Or a simple word of care
In a time when mere existence
Seems too great a load to bear.

Every day, a point arises
That shall be forevermore
Seen as one of life’s surprises
To come beating on the door
Yet, as much as this is assured
I will always be amazed
By the souls whose kindness endured
Whenever a need was raised.

I am constantly amazed at the thing ordinary people do for other people in need. It must, it has to go beyond the paycheck at the end of the week. It has to. Very good tribute.

Jill,

You give mankind hope in these beautifully inspired, inspiring lines; bless you! That's just the way it should be...if we were the ones in need, we'd want someone to reach out a helping hand. BRAVA!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
