I do not think that I will find
A better gift for heart and mind
Than what I found that late spring day
When I witnessed a rose bouquet
Each yellow petal shown of light
And radiance, both bold and bright
Enlightening the darkest room
By the glory found in each bloom.
My inner soul was quite inspired
By the roses I had acquired
No words could have ever professed
The splendor the bouquet possessed
I tended each bloom like a child
And watched as buds opened and smiled
In stunning shades of brilliant gold
Each flower a sight to behold.
While, in good time, all things must pass
In memories, they’ll always last
Just like the stunning rose bouquet
That you sent to brighten my day
Each yellow petal brought a grin
Which touched the heart and soul within
Yet, I know I will never view
A blessing lovelier than you.
