Even though your heart is hurting
And the world seems dark and gray
I can see your plight reverting
To a warm and sun-filled day
Soon, you’ll conquer the resistance
That befalls the here and now
And continue your persistence
Toward the goals that you avow.

Each new sunrise brings assurance
That the future holds great things
Should you meet with full endurance
Every challenge this life brings
You are bound by dedication
Even when you’re feeling low
And your strength shall bring salvation
Should recovery be slow.

Even though your heart seems hollow
While your soul is on the mend
The pathway you’re meant to follow
Will be waiting, in the end
As you gaze toward each tomorrow
You will find a sky of blue
That shall lighten today’s sorrow
So your dreams remain in view.
