A poem about support and rekindled faith.

Monday, November 6, 2006

Poem Artwork

While standing on the riverbank
She peered into the stream
And saw the lives she must now thank
For her most cherished dream
The sunlight stretched from high above
No clouds obscured her view
These angels shared God’s gift of love
And made her wish come true .

Not long ago, her life was marred
By mounds of harsh debris
Where shards of faith were indeed, hard
For one’s keen eye to see
But, when the shadows came to steal
The beauty that remained
God’s angels gave her strength to heal
And freedom was obtained.

She stood upon the riverbank
Though, years have come and gone
And saw the lives she needs to thank
For her means to trudge on
Each soul, while once a sacred light
That shined upon the stream
Is now a blessing, burning bright -
Reflected in her dream.
