I asked a vagrant monk
Walking with a lantern
Thru the starless night,
'From where is that light?'
Instantly, he blew it out,
Saying, 'Tell me where
It is gone now and then
I will tell you, stranger,
Where it comes from. . .'

Love it. I like these simple stories (dialogues) that pack a punch. That's what good poetry is all about. The title is perfect as well.

You've provided an exercise for the mind and heart to work out their oft times argument as to the more important. Of course, for this reader, the answer is the "moment," not the before and after, that place in time where when one is in the moment, everything is as it should be... perfect.
