Between Heaven and Earth I am but
As a small stone or a small tree
On a steep lofty cliff. So long
As I see myself to be thus small,
How could I make much of myself?
Just groping for an answer, I've estimated
All within the six continents compared with
Dimensions of the skies to be not so large
As that occupy by a pile of stones
In a shoreless marsh! I've been surprised.
I've also estimated my country's size
Compared with the boundless space
Between the seven seas to be smaller than
A single grain of rice in a great granary!
At large, how much can I make of myself? . .
Always,
Deborah
Love ya!

We speak so much of god as being someone like us but omni powerful and all-knowing. If, by chance there is intelligence out there amid all those stars and it could miraculously reach us over such great distance, we would immediately be belittled by what we beheld. Like the ant scurries from our presence, so would we from god from outer space.
