A long sentimental life
But gripped in a vice
Of one's daily routine
The Grand Canyon's River
Curves longer
Than the Way of Galaxy itself
The sun and the moon
Are not looser
A grain of sand in Sahara Desert
Success and failure are all in balance
Vanishing in air
Like smoke over the dawn pond
It is not about honor or dishonor
It's all about the dead-water surface --
The secondary mirror of the moon
Don't call people to common sense --
It's all depends on
How much hot or cold are their tempers
There're ebb and flow, heavy clouds and cirri;
To sigh on a transmitted wave. . .
What? . . Did you go off your head?
Youth is easy to sink into oblivion,
The beauty of a flower is changeable;
Sure, a new day will come on time
Harken to the fleeting years
Which are like a mountain stream
Running and bubbling over hidden rocks
Your day and night are the swan ballade;
Remember each and every word of it
Singing your solo and without accompaniment
Breathe more the air of freedom;
Do not chase every benefit
To keep your mind clearer
Spare more time with family
And friends, think less
Of treacheries and empty debates
Look up in the night sky
Until you realize the deepest ocean
Of opportunities just above your crown
Find a moment to stop and stare
At the high and low tide -- your smug life
Of everyman can come to end at any time.
I have searched the galaxies that astronomers like Galileo could only dream, climbed to the tops of mountains to feel the sun closer on my skin burning amidst the icy air and clouds floating by. I have followed the bathysphere with tremendous pressure descend to the bottom of the oceans finding amazing life living there. I have written books and poems beyond my dreams…
I am ready for that finality you write in the last stanza, today with no regrets.
