The unmistakable blue-green egg of a robin. How I miss seeing them growing fat on foul tasting earthworms. But your poem is about the strength of the triangle and the numbers created by reproduction. In nature, the robin population is controlled by predators, the weather and occasional crashes into shiny mirrored windows mistaken for birds of a feather. In the following season very few return to nest.
