A poem for all cultures and lands on this planet, where rules are more important than love.
----------------------------------
Picture: Stone age painting 'The Lovers of Sefar,' ca. 20000 years bc, from the Tassili Mountains in Southern Algeria. In those days, the Sahara was a fertile crescent populated by zebras, elephants and giraffes.
From: Fels and Hoehlenbilder Afrikas, Burchard Brentjes, Leipzig
I met you again on that day in August You stood on the Starbucks’ lot at dusk I rushed not to miss you, caressing tears on your face Then your eyelids opened with a dying butterfly wing’s grace The heart’s purple light shone on your Chinese brown eyes United once more we plunged in love’s secret paradise Forever floating in velvet blue lotus joy, on a perfumed sea Beyond a dreary mainstream’s coastline, happy and free
We sat down together one more time. I held your hand and we sipped bitter coffee. Then we watched the birds as they flew apart into different directions.

Franz...
This is as beautiful as the folds of silk in a Hindu
princesses gown.
My favorite line is: "then your eyelids opened with a
dying butterfly wing's grace."
A superb image!

When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
