”Original is the poet
who attains the shamelessness
of writing everyday
as if he were making love.” – Ary dos Santos

(art by Javier Azurdia)

Poem Artwork

This morning, this love - III

A theme of rapture, by design
subdued - humid like a kiss delaying
its surrender to thirsting lips, ardent
like hips swaying, in waves of wait, for
fire held to crash a flooding tide ablaze
in other hips.

Stolen hues, a taunting swell of breast
brushed by glows of dawn – and afterglows
augured in heaven of naked lust, trickling
like blue impressionist touches from
between naked eyelids.

This suspension of breaths feels like
time coming to a close – and rather
like art, lingeringly made and about to come loose…

… With all the shuddering vehemence
of eternity.

You are such a poet, meu Amor. This poem brings to mind the sweet anticipation that flows like honey.

"Art ... about to come loose ... with all the shuddering vehemence of eternity". What joy, what rapture!

Amo te muito,
Teu Joseph

Whoa! This is quite a gorgeous piece of love poetry, replete with images of intimacy which only a lover could recognize. This took me away to a place I long to be "... With all the shuddering vehemence
of eternity." Outstanding write!

I like this series of poems, Alexandra. I think their designed brevity gives a sharpness of purpose hard to convey in longer works, though exquisite beauty and passion flower in all your creations. A thoroughly enjoyable molten experience here. Love and many, many {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}},

Your deep erotic and sensually defined passion always leaps to the forefront of your writes and this one is no exception to the rule. I can almost picture you with pen and journal, naked in a transparent silk gown beneath the moonlight penning these wonderful creations you share so willingly to the ones who adore your mastery of the word. Lovely Alexandra...
