this is what they simply have to be

and don’t you dare arguing with me!

Cabinets, shelves and little drawers
absconded, absurd, abstruse, abstract
and… oh, you’re not even past the “A”
not even past abbreviated clues
to any advance, attainable, attentive, aware
of where it all begins to be… yes, “B”…
Confused? So, it’s already, clearly, “C”
cliché… could be… cast out in outcast
curves, contours, caliginous, calculated
to conceal what you are most sure you see
and not, definitely not, all that will ever be
available, just, to aptitude, acumen, achievement
of blatant, blunt, blimey if it’s not
clarity…

Definitely… defy, deny, despair
and darn this daunting craze…
oh, you are going… back, it’s D,
it’s C, then B to A… again…
At this rate… R… no, it’s A, always,
as you are back in back space
to B… or not to be… anywhere
close to classifying, cataloging, cramming
those disheveled, devious, drop-me-dead
definitions
