There once was a belle from Atlanta
Whose name was Abigail Anna
With a bonnet and wig
She still looked like a pig
So she ran away to Savannah
A race horse ate oaks for his dinner
In hopes it would make him a winner
But there was a hitch
He fell in the ditch
And cussed like a black hearted sinner
There once was a Yankee named Billy
Who fancied a Confederate filly
She refused his ring
Or to have a fling
And she said he was really quite silly
A lady was snobby and snooty
And prided herself on her booty
She gained a few pounds
And got a bit round
Now her hubby won't do his duty
There once was a Scotsman bold
Who got drunk and fell in a hole
kilt flew over his head
And the lassies all said
They'd take him to have and to hold
I just happen to know the young lady in the picture...and yes, she is a pig...&
Billy should watch out for the southern filly,
As can come out of her home a shotgun,
Then that will put him for the north on the run,
And I don't think that that would be any fun...-e-
Very witty! They remind me a little bit of Pam Ayres (think that's how you spell her surname). You could publish a book with these types of limerick. Made me laugh, especially the last one!
The Wholly Book of Doo-Doo-Rot-on-Me is adult satirical humor featuring adult language and adult content, and the work is a parody of the Old Testament Book of Deuteronomy.
Always,

I once ate my oats (meal),
became as strong as the oaks,
but the ladies fell dead,
taking on that huge spread,
though tried, just got the chokes.
I wish… ;-)
