This morning, this love - IV
Weightless rapture gathers loosely
in small bundles of a downy cast
about our awakening –
Fine-tuned blend of reminisced
intimacy lacing arabesques of scent
that levitate from warm skin, of
waning wisps of February moon
and tousled sheets -
Then, your lips resurfacing kisses
in a flurry upon mine, like tumbled
peach blossoms frothing up
a springtide –
And fingers of light with the lightness
of fingertips, perching for a while
upon that rising pulse –
Never exhausted flights subtly pecking
at their own translucent shells, like
birdlings of paradise who intrinsically
know that the time to sing has come –
A sigh, that split second just before
the infinite, a quiver of inevitable
epiphany –
We make love again.
