All searching washed away
unicorns conveyance splicing
in lacy waters for young maiden
riding freely in daytime dreams
of young lover who will claim
her virginity as his own
no more to roam
Oh ye of little faith,
be there but one

The quest for true love theme has been done many times, you have put your own stamp on the subject. I suppose you can't embark on any quest without faith. Bit of a bodice ripper this one.
a testament to true love,

subtle writing with an undertone
of erotic - less erotic, more to sensual
but for me, nevertheless, an undertone.
I often wonder why people consider the act of love as being impure when it is the foundation of life. Why we honor innocence over knowledge and yet are longing for the impure thought of someone “taking our virginity.” Creates lots of guilt, that's for sure.

I'm not sure what you meant the last two lines to mean, Vivian, my thinking is that two hearts in love become as one. But maybe George is right and it is religious in nature. If so I can't relate it to the first seven lines. Irregardless, the first seven lines are touching.
