The owls whisper questions in curious voices
that mirror my own, of the Gods choices;
Aphrodite; Goddess of desire and sensual affection
Adonis; God of beauty and perfection
Morpheus; God of fantasies and dreams
why have the Gods not set your form on bronze?
In smooth stone should the likes of you be stored
a bronze pedestal beneath your feet
a man of such perfection and grace
to forever excite this maiden fair
to stare longing in awe
forever upon your lovely face
The rich texture of your hair
lush and thick as the young lion's mane
a dense forest for my lost fingers to tame
eyes ablaze, glowing as if fire resides within
your body molded as if Adonis' twin
whose lips promise passion uncharted
Oh, Ancient Gods and Goddesses,
Creators of lust, passion and flaming fire
set loose my heart of fierce longing desire
That I may satisfy my sinful passions without guilt
in the arms of my idea of perfection built
