"Baby come close'",  your eyes call to me
I can feel your desire to conquer me
~!~!~!~
Don't whisper to me your need
I don't want to know, I won't listen
you hum seductively, your lips glisten
~!~!~!
I won't dance close to you, so let me go
because then my own desires, you'll know
~!~!~!~
I cannot hide this passion from your eyes
but I will not be your one night prize
This is only a slow dance
~!~!~!
that's what I keep telling myself
but when you smiled down at me
I was ready to take a chance
and placed my heart way back
on my consciousness shelf
~!~!~!~
It was just one night of romancing
with a little sexy, dirty dancing
Your wicked magnetism drew me in
~!~!~!
though I knew you belonged to another
I was ready and willing to let you win
to go down passion's road of wonder
~!~!~!~
Your careless whispers drew me into it
but then I realized I just couldn't do it
~!~!~!~
This is one night of passion
I'm taking off my list
and turning my head away from
Temptation's kiss

A story as old as time and the fact that you had the courage of your own convictions and the strength to walk away from an illicit union is admirable Denise. Your friend in words, Pete

Ahhhh you did the right thing...but the memory of what could have been will linger for a long time as a sweet fantasy to recall like the last warm day of summer...
