Surviving...in thoughts and words

Poem Artwork

Yes…I’m very much alive in this universe

You would think that I was dead the way

the vultures circle over head

The word ‘tense’ belittles my mental condition…

holding on inattentively...born

with a death grip

Excuse me…!

can you tell me what…laughter

…is??!

Writing is therapeutic. It helped me calm my anger. I suspect it is doing the same for you. Keep up the good work!

A deadly serious poem coming from a serious source. I had to think of MLK and his plea about all ranges of color and why it was the color of character and not of skin that mattered.

I just read about the abuses heaped on albinos. When will it ever end.

These days laughter is not heard as it once was. Oh, I could go on and on...............(I'd get arrested!)

Love ya!

These Black and Blue Red Zone Days by Aberjhani

Just as life during the pandemic was color-coded with different hues representing different levels of danger, life in its aftermath has become shaded in similar ways. As a self-styled “Seeker of Beauty with Beauty,” (borrowing from a quote by W.E.B.

Born in Salt by T. Weber

In a post-coup America, an Illinois farm boy is drawn into the resistance by his brother's death. Captured, he is given a choice: betray his friends, or the girl he loves will be lobotomized.

Middle Class Outing v2 by RickthePoetWarrior

It's about how middling we are and middle means middle only like a big middle and class isn't school and outing's not a trip.
