Thinking back. We used to pass the word on to the other trick or treaters where the good stuff was being handed out. LOL!!! I can still hear the things we yelled to each other on the streets of our village.
Halloween's a special night
Sure enough to give a fright
Creepy ghosts and zombies too
Coming after me and you
Let's go knock upon that door
They gave Snickers out before
M&M's two houses down
Look there goes a freaky clown
Skip the brown house just don't knock
They give pennies down the block
Give us those big candy bars
Like a Hershey or a Mars
See the porch lights going out
Let's get home let's turn about
Look through all we got tonight
Halloween is sweet alright
AHHH...THE DAYS OF YESTER-YEARS. WHEN HALLOWEEN WAS A NIGHT OF SWEET TREATS WITHOUT THE FEARS. NO CARES OF TAINT, JUST OLD CLOTHES AND PAINT AND TRICKERY WAS KEPT TO FRIENDLY TAPS AND FAMILIAR SNICKERY. AHHH THE DAYS OF YESTER-YEARS...GONE...NOT WITHOUT A SLIGHT TEAR. THANKS FOR THE SHARE, JANE, ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
Oh those candies and chocolates! I'm a big kid! I still love eating them. I still love Halloween. It's one night in a whole year that I can have an excuse to pig out on those candies!!!

Halloween fun was sure the best. Dressing up, rustling in the leaves with each step. Knocking on doors of everyone I knew for candy corn,
an apple, or sometimes a candy bar. Love your poem of trick-or-treat.
Thanks for the memories.
Remember when we were kids we could go trick or treating all by ourselves & then we found the best places to go, like a family I knew as grampy & grammie that gave out rolls of nickels, wow, two bucks in one stop...HEY, JANE, GO OVER TO THEIR HOUSE AND GET BIG MONEY!! :)

Love it Jane!
When I was young here in UK, Halloween was not really much of an occasion...Then it kind of caught on, probably due to the US making so much if it...and now it's as popular here...
My kids used to trick or treat, and like you passed the info on of the good houses to visit..
They always remembered from year to year too...
Love, Diana....
A few years ago, we passed out boxes of Animal Crackers (I love Animal Crackers). However much I liked Animal Crackers, they were not popular on that night. We could hear the kids saying, "don't go there, they're passing out Animal Crackers". Damn kids anyways. I enjoyed your poem.
Tasked by his Goddess to find, relocate, and then quicken, the last three Heart Tree gem-seeds, Vanx the bard, and his motley crew of adventurers, set out to do just that.
