Watch out when you walk alone down alleys. You might....

Poem Artwork

Walking down an alleyway
Shortcut to my car
Only my shadow
My God now there's two
What in the hell am I
Going to do
I walk fast
Footsteps follow
Running now
Trying not to
Be myself
My claws crawl out
Papers said
It was ugly
Like a cat.....

A very suspenseful write that got my attention and held it with very few words. And then, at the end, you left reality to become some kind of "catwoman" and left us all hanging.

But then, it could have been metaphorical. Those nail extensions that you got at the nail shop could have been titanium and sharper than razor blades. God how I hate being scratched with razor blades!

Another shadow poem . . . which means you are never alone. Your shadow and you make for excellent reading, my fried.

This poem got me on the edge of my seat! But then again, you were probably right. Our cat makes the strangest noises late at night. She sounds like a burglar prowling about. Then she comes out of the darkness and scatters throughout the house. Wow! Meow!

Those imaginary footsteps can sometimes turn real. Sounds like you could handle it.
