We had quite a wind storm up here on the hill from Lake Erie. Eerie Lake Erie!

Poem Artwork

Walking down to the shore
Moon bright white caps galore
All alone strange sound beach grass
Rubbing my legs as I pass

What was that on the wind
Sound of sad violin
Buoy's lone bell out there
Fog's so thick in the air

Did I hear someone scream
Prank perhaps Halloween
Where am I which way's home
Blanket on me was thrown

Startled I turned to see
Who was so kind to me
Big sharp teeth drooling slime
What a nightmare that time!

Now that has got to be a first, a lighted pumpkin amid the rocks on the sea shore. So descriptive this, so convincing, what a nightmare!

Oh my goodness! No going to the beach alone! You painted a perfect picture of an autumn evening at the beach ❤️

I would ditch that boyfriend! Serially, I love the imagery of the beach on Halloween. Your imagination runs wild with a holiday like that.

Gotta be careful when you're out and about, especially when you're on the beach. Loved the write, Jane.
