The rhythm of the ocean and serenity of solitude reminds me of the importance of celebrating the craft of poetry for its own sake
The undulation of the sea moves me... soothes me/
it/
opens my eyes and frees me/
I have no need for man's fickle adulation... prostration... or ovation/
my need is to be/
to create for me/
and my profound love/
of poetry....
A lovely and meaningful ode to poetry and to your personality as well. Most exquisetely expressed, Shirley. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,
Shirley! YES! I agree with you. It's nice to have an audience, but truly it is our way of explaining ourselves to ourselves! If you use </br> you won't need the virgules (/) at the end of lines. A little html. I used to teach Shakespeare online when our high school had too many kids for the buildings to hold.
