I seen it. It appeared to me. Seem like when I had nothing it was everything to me. As I chased, people tried to get in the way and tried to wake me up, but I was too far gone and success struck. Clubbing and weed had its own voice, I was hoping they would scream louder to go hoarse. I had it stamped and sealed so when it traveled it wouldn't get lost among the other mail. I was catching pure hell because I didn't realize how much belief was the most important to self.
As I grind I was losing time with others. A positive with a negative undercover. I became a distant lover. When being called you have to answer. I just wanted to make my mother proud of her daughter, but in the mist of it God had called her. It was a hard pill to swallow. I found a way to down it when I stopped being so caught up and started focusing on what I had been called for. People try to kill they're nightmare which is your dream just like the MLK vision in his speech. It's nothing wrong with becoming a doctor or lawyer. I just knew that wasn't the life for me, but that's what the world had planned for me to be. I battled with defeat and those against me. What God knew all along had surprised me. What you don't know can hurt you. When not recognized either it's me or they haven't yet realized. The truth of you that lives on the inside. A dream that can change lives. It can kill the very negative that tries to compromise a positive outline. Take back what the devil stole that God said was mine. I seen it. It appeared to me. Seem like when I had nothing it was everything.
