'Dont Feed the Homeless' Signs Warn. Mother Teresa Did and was Declared a Saint!

The below excerpt is from my soon to be published book about 25 years of volunteer work with Mother Teresa and her Sisters around the world.

Mother Teresa opened a house to help the poorest of the poor in every country on earth. 

Often her houses were closed as people did not want to see Mother's sisters 
feed the homeless since the poor are the most despised people in the world.

Mother Teresa instead of fighting back, prayed, wiped the dust from her feet and moved on, opening yet another house in another city.  Had she fought back in worldly ways, she would have never had time to open all of her houses around the  world that feed and house the poor.

I encounter many instances in which I could fight back, and instead have chosen to follow Mother Teresa's example and tell my ego to 'be quiet' and I gratefully go forward.  

Living with the belief that the only way to overcome hatred is with love, if I am busy "fighting back"; my moments to overcome hatred with love are greatly diminished.
