The Pandemic is the Homeless
Whole Life
by Judy Joy Jones
To the homeless
the pandemic
never started
nor stopped
it is their whole life
from birth to death
every minute they breath
the homeless have
no food shelter
or clothing
and their screams
of hunger
echo through
the nights
begging for souls
to hear their pleas
the pandemic
to the homeless
is one more
locked trashcan
no bathrooms
or streets to sleep
without being
threatened by police
the pandemic
to the homeless
never started
nor stopped
it is their whole life
every minute they breath
from birth to death
the pandemic
for the homeless
will never stop
