May We All Remember
Those With No Home

on thanksgiving day
may we all remember
the poorest of the poor
living an dying
on our streets
hungry an alone
with no families
and as their
eyes close tonight
not knowing
if they will see
the morning light
may we
take a moment
to pray
that one day
they will
have as we
food shelter
medical care
and a home
but tonight
their bed
will be
our cold
concrete streets
the poorest
of the poor
on thanksgiving day
