I love it. A simple way to approach the world. Since most progress in the world is good, the chances are, by being good, one will benefit throughout life.

But if you insist on not being good, and know it, understand the chance of having it come back to you in a way that will hurt you.

Based on the good karma that I've had in my life, I would say it is partly the result of my not judging people before I get to know them. And then not hating anyone by their behavior. Just try to understand why they behave badly if they do.
