1.

When you look up the high window and notice how beautiful is the sun light coming through the fragments of old glass wall, you know that summer is near.

Every year, you experience this moment, and remember that you’ve had the same feeling over and over again - is this it? Is this the time that has finally come? Is this the summer I have been waiting for?

Now you recall that old time that happened long ago - before you were born - when everybody in the synagogue looked up the window, and awaited that moment. You could feel the ghosts of those desperate folks, standing in a row right in front of you.

2.

When all the trees in the garden branch out and put forth their leaves, you start wondering how soon the summertime comes out. When you see those flowers and grasses extending their blue silhouettes all over the place, you realize you cannot wait any longer. You could even enjoy taking cold shower. And when you see the water splashing on your skin-deep sense of space and time, you start reflecting on your mind - why nobody has come to pick me up?

Summer is here, as you expected. But you realize it wasn’t just the summertime you were waiting for.

It was a blissful moment of redemption, full of ecstasy, that you would have felt with all your body crushing as if you hit the funny bone. You haven’t seen it coming yet, though. Was that, again and after all, just a daydream?

3.

Walk out on the street and look out things though the green grass. You might guess your soul is right above you, trying to take you out of your foundations.

Even if you assume you took all your risks but took nothing from home to go out in the field and became a prey to your inner self, you would see nothing really happening to you.

If now is the time, why don’t you take me? Or am I not yet worthy of it? How could I come short of something important after all these years of meditation?

Why does nobody answer your question?

4.

When you see a big cloud coming up from the south west, you would expect a shower coming soon. You would come down to reality and rush into the house before the rain comes down from heaven. Sitting safe at home do you know what’s outside the door? How do you explain what happens next here, and who’s at present, standing out there?

After all that long running exhibition of your ego, what are you going to do if you found a defect in your own work of art? After all that idle period of wait-and-see, is this the first time ever you have been convinced that you weren’t good enough?

Look at those lights wandering over the wide opened window - why don’t they come inside and touch my blank face now?

5.

Your present time has always been a time of publicity. Every present time it was just another self-important braggart that you didn’t really act on. Relying on your own saga, you claimed your declared value as how much you were right about something. Now you finally recognized that every revolutionary time was a time of action while you watch, not the time to hold yourself as you look back and blame someone yet to come.

Every time will come at an unexpected moment. You can only get closer to your next time by living in every moment. Don’t waste time by counting on that time will open the window, but stand up and open it yourself. And do that every day. Does it really matter when it will happen, if you cannot interpret the present time?

Look, even at your broken window the light started coming through, meeting you half way.

"It" is all within ourselves, just waiting to be revealed. "Seek and ye shall find." Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Indeed, and it all boils down to our choices made in any given moment: desite the actions of others--"we choose to blame or claim, and to claim is to gain." Very well written, Andrew. Visit me sometime, for we share counseling in common.

My son wrote a book of his personal, one liner quotes. Never underestimate the power of simple statements! A very interesting read!
