Jumping high out of the ocean is the Whale

From the flow of stormy water to the bite of the gale

The Mariner's fear, yet its beauty can't be denied

"Ahoy A Whale" the excited seaman has espied

Blubber and oil is prised by some nations

But do they forget the rate if loss in rations?

'Whale meal again!' around the Norweigan ring

"We'll meet again", Vera Lynn is heard to sing.
