Sharp tough beak amid a collar of blue
Eye of golden eyeing you
Listening carefully to mimick you
Watch what you say or your words will come true
Amazon beauty in the high swaying trees
Viewing carefully all it sees
They are after its feathers with a poisioned dart
Aiming through blue feathers at the Macaw's heart
But tame it can be in a caring house
Silent usually as quiet as a mouse
But then the parrot begins to chatter
Regudgitating all of your daily natter!
Wonderfully contrasted sound effects here, with the soft words and the harsh words echoing the sense of the line.
I enjoyed the poem, and found the last line hilarious. Nicely done.
Be always safe,
