A poem about an enigma.

Poem Artwork

I know a woman

She breathes cold mountain air

Her soul soars to the heavens

And mingles with

Secret, divine energy there

Hard won peace is hers

And she dares not leave it

She protects her realm

From possible harm

Holding all conflict at bay

With the length of her arm

She has no one that she cares to please

She spends her days telling tales

And reporting all that she sees

As she sees it

All that she imagines as she explores the world

Absorbing knowledge like a sponge

She writes educated prose

And produces extraordinary art with her words

She is in a new world with each rising of the sun

She experiences sex in amazing ways

Damned resourceful

She will make you feel like a fool

And she can set your psyche ablaze

With each carefully chosen word

Healthy

Lustful

Adventurous

It’s NEVER the same

An addiction from which

You can not be saved

We have known one and the other

For centuries

From lifetime to lifetime

We tend to persist

Sometimes we wonder

Why we keep revisiting this

She loves only the OLD ways

Buckboards and whorehouses

Whiskey kegs

Brokers of pledge

Wild grown sage

Black powder and anvils

Life on the River

Women loving each other

In times when people would

As soon kill you

(For such an inclination)

Than LET YOU LIVE

PEACEFULLY

Nurturing the essence that she

Projects to BE

Lay with me with your warmth

Mingling with mine to make us whole

Let me taste your smooth and exquisite skin

Under my hot, seeking, velvet tongue

Enjoy with me the centuries

For which we seem doomed

Or blessed

Trust in my love for you

And all that you pursue

No question of my intentions

Your scent makes me salivate

Like a fiend

Receiving a last meal on death row

I want to taste you

Slick. Gold. Blood.

Always to go where we know

No one else will ever go

Beautiful. A love poem. Cheers to you both - a poem that has me looking back fondly for a change! Women loving each other

In times when people would

As soon kill you

(For such an inclination)

Than LET YOU LIVE

PEACEFULLY

...and as for the not so fond memories - yes, but love wins! Nicky x

Truly excellent Blue, I just love this heartwarming dedication to the one you love...as for those that deride such relationships, this is an affermation that love conquers all. My blessings to the both of you.

I am sitting here with you at Sage Sweetwater Creative Properties Howling Ridge Wolf Camp drinking a Milwaukee's Best Light beer...you know the one...the one when we have our intimate passion. I love you...those vows, the basic truth in my mind's eye, I feel you and I knew ourselves apart and together even way before we "met" at our one-room schoolhouse, and before the day's lesson began on the slateboard where Sleighty and Sweetwater set the example for wildwoman and firebrand, I brought in the wood to fire the stove that warmed the day's 3 R lessons, you skimmed ice from the community water drinking bucket, such gifted young women then...and now...under the pine tree tender kisses after we emptied our brown bag lunches...they eventually expelled us. Blue, you're the wildwoman in my heart...shhh...can you hear the elk bugle? I love you...I adore you baby...we go where "no one else will ever go"...I do trust in your love for me, love me the OLD way, okay?...I'm breathless...the red light is on...my arctic white wolves are howling at the moon...look at the moon tonight, Blue...

your sage maverick
