Sometimes what you have to say will not go out from the tip of your tongue or from the tip of your quill.
Some words chokes one more than other, and then, they are those never spoken but that you understood were for you.

This one was inspired by Founding True Love
by Jasmin Horst E.P. Seiler

I can’t start this letter with a Dear:
because I don’t feel anymore that way,
we were two roads briefly crossing and
now we are going, how can I say…
in different directions, leading hearts
taking us not back to our yesterday.

Before, this pages were of pristine white,
words make them so dirty to appear may
that not after scribbling LOVE we can
erase that blot of ink for what I didn’t felt,
please, if you like me, don’t feel the same,
don’t let your heart be filled with contempt.

This will be just like a postcard in brevity,
maybe like receiving a knife you will take,
that what we had is there no more for me
wasn’t courageous enough to personally tell,
because you are the one good with words
I only are good as I can make my pretty face.

The privilege to pick and choose is feminine,
la donna e mobile, Giuseppe Verdy once said,
it wasn’t you…or me, it was the damn absence,
get over me soldier, another hill you can conquer,
that war wouldn’t last forever you will be back
and into the arms of a new loving Jezebel.

I can’t start this letter with a Dear:
because I don’t feel anymore that way.

I think you have said more than what you write. Yet, it has given me pause to think about some of my past and what went astray.

God bless you. Kathy

The inner turmoil of two walking separate paths can only hurt yet it can also bring inner peace and tranquility as time passes along. Sometimes that is the way it has to be, but the pain lingers on....

Be safe,

Beautifully written for the topic it covers, with such words it has to lessen the pain, yet it will be there,no matter what is said.

Perhaps this is a sad commentary on the way relationships often end but it is truthfully honest. Thank you, Georg. Love and peace,

A salutation that surely is as hard to begin with as "yours truly" at the other end. Good write. Lady J

Well written and well espressed...love in blooming or in dying is always dramatic and your poem gives voice to that drama.

I pictured this poor guy, stunned with the news, but quickly came to his senses after thinking about the "Mess Hall Musing's Party" he went to last night and picked the last petal from the Daisy, saying, "She loves me not!'

You my friend carry much pain, when love is cast away cheaply, it hurts twice as much, and if it was deeply felt can hurt forever. Had it been normal times, not war, you might have found some refuge, but being in the wilderness without an oasis and a drink of love to find anywhere you have been scarred a very deep wound of war! Bless you my friend! Jasmin Horst
