Love, if you go away

Words, words coming through the mist that cover distances like a shroud, words that suddenly tells of someone, suddenly, like a shading gossamer enters the dense fog of absence with a full moon somewhere illuminating the path that takes her away from me...that can offer not a tear or even a protest from the dead heart that she will be leaving behind.

Poem Artwork

Love, if you go away…

…and I look outside the window
there will be birds no more
or beautiful butterflies
in my world

…life will become totally empty
a house with closed doors
of steps the echoes
and a dead clock

…two candles will cease to burn
and time will come to a stop
as it will bleed hours
just for us

There will be nothing left for me
If you go away, my love,
you only will left me
an empty world

With poems like these, who wants to leave? How many ladies did you write this for? It's so beautiful- all them blushing dames must have said yes.

The emotions, thoughts that run through this beauty are explicitly amazing and so bone chillingly pure, a masterpiece to say the least....

I know these feelings. Have known them. I'm still waiting for the birds to return. Sometimes I think I hear them but I haven't seen them yet. Maybe someday. An excellent write, Georg, that went straight to my heart.

I am so glad, I left off reading this last night, I know I needed all my strengths in the morning, and I sure did. You truly are a soldier of the heart my friend. Thems Canucks, not know the subtleties in those fine bred american lines, but me thinks, they are pulling your leg eh? Blessings great Poet! Jasmin Horst

Typos Shmipos. Fuggid about them and savor the feeling instead.
One cannot typo feelings. And feelings do pervade this piece. Did you do an absentee ballot Georg?

Okay, typos...
You leave me with not choice...
You left me with no a choice...
And we come back to that battle about saying I instead of me and the all going hullabaloo about which one is correct potâto-potato and tomâto-tomato?
Left of leave it to a turncoat Canuck to stir trouble.

This is absolutely, incredibly one of your best ever Georg...the depth of emotional sadness of such a perceived loss is overwhelming in each stanza of this poem. You outdie yourself.

PS: one little typo, in last verse second last line...change left to leave

Georg this is beautiful. My husband told me I have to take care of myself for his life without me would be empty, cold and silent. He claims I am his star that shines and the reason for his every breath and your words remind me of a true caring love through each word, whaich could be only meant for someone very precious. Thank you for sharing.
