Dedicated to a good friend that found love thousands of miles away and yet, hearts found that invisible and blessed bridge.
I will ask Zeus to grant your wishes and send Hermes with the good news.

Where are gone the flowers of spring
and the running girl on a cotton dress
with a smile brighter than the sun
and fingers that were full of caress?

They said it is Fall, the wrinkles time,
when age become the man mistress
no white on his hair, for a while no yet,
just remembers of summer going gray.

Winter will coming with the snow,
and the cold to the bones in distress
days will merciless pass without return
like a running girl’s flowered dress.

Am hearing “the green leaves of summer”
for all my lost summers I have a regret,
because that music make me to remember
that I never kissed that running girl.

Georg, thank you! What lovely words for a love that came alive and grew then had no hope of going any further than the words written between two people, a man and a woman that both knew, from the first word, that their lives would always remain three thousand miles apart.
Thank you, my friend.
Mark

Great visual effects - I see summer flowers floating in the air and following the innocent girl, attaching themselves onto her cotton dress and together they vanish into the thin air of past...
Very beautiful, Georg, but sad.

The title and image work powerfully together, Georg. Like the old "red wheelbarrow on a white canvas", thing, the picture of the running girl in her floral cotton dress shoot like an arrow through the unfolding emotions in this write, carrying our hearts with it. She is fleet whereas the observer is stuck in his timewarp of regret that moves through all the seasons. Very strong writing here! :)) xx

Such a touching poem so uniquely put together, so sad yet so vividly put together as to give some type of nostalgic joy that is difficult to explain. The touches of season and warmth of the girl are real, but with the unusual photo, it lends a feel that the memory is set in stone and gives a coldness to the writer. Very intriguing, Georg.

…now how can I open the locked vault which contains Romantic Poetess at such a time as this? Graying whiskers growing a master piece of a man whom shall be placed upon the thresholds of crimson’s lips which will seal those ole dreams of faded cotton dresses dancing in the wind…
with the depths of darkness as my shroud of hidden spies:

Regret, could not have been more profoundly expressed in lines more beautiful, and the sculpture, what a combination. This Georg would make a great combination to hang on the wall framed of course.

Georg - Love the sculpture that perfectly reflects your words. You capture the melancholy of the passing season and the melancholy of the changing seasons of life. Especially liked those last three lines:

for all my lost summers I have a regret,
because that music make me to remember
that I never kissed that running girl.

- David
