Poem Artwork

To express themselves to each other
Deaf People that are falling in love
let their eyes to say everything it is
cos they don’t have a need for words.

Beauty is not the concept of a picture,
for Blind People that are falling in love
emotions will be always most truly felt
when their finger are the ones that talk.

They cannot sing in ecstasy and passion
the Mute People that are falling in love,
but happy smiles will light their faces
with one of silence most beautiful sound.

Your mind, Georg-- it is such a beautiful thing. If I were to give you a prize on AD, it would be for being the most poetic individual here. ALWAYS your corner oozes with poetic thought. I hope you hear that often, because it's true-- not sappy, teary-eyed stuff, just coral-reef splendor of near-extinct thought. I never thought of this before, but you're right.-- although, if you've ever been around a bunch of deaf-mutes, you'd see that their conversations are among the noisiest there are (they don't know how loud their hand-clapping, and guttural laughing is.) --Charlie

Silence can be golden and the other senses do overcompensate to adjust to the loss of one. My dad was very deaf his last 5 years and refused to have a hearing aid. He was comfortable in that zone. Drove mother crazy..hmmmmmm. Patrick
