When I walk in the streets

When I wear uniform I'm not a pig
I'm American.
When I disagree I'm not a Commie:
I'm American.
When I feel this has to be done:
I'm American.
When I feel this is wrong:
I'm American
When I have a choice
I'm American.
When I raise my voice
I'm American.

As I said before, this is excellent. Very well written!
One small nit with the line, "When I wear uniform I'm not a pig" - could it use an "a," as in "When I wear a uniform...?"

WOW. For some reason, I didn't see this. But then, truly...
It must be because of the bilingual brain-reading and comprehending on my part::::::however, I don't do that with poetry. I take the original-thought whole. And since I'm not an editor, I can only look for the original feeling to point me out--to the creator's direction.
Many times, I don't even see the 'literary mistakes' but then::::: look at T S Eliot and his playful, crazed play of words on how to bend our limited human languages.
Five years have passed. The sequel to the award-winning Chapel of Eternal Love, this book revisits the same couples in the first book, and where the lives have taken them since they left the altar at The Chapel of Eternal Love
