The Living Past Written by Rana M Regenerating romance into my imaginations you are still living in my heart, alive & chilling In the dreams that I dream of, often lively your presence indeed is always adulating The theme you used to wear in weird colors Reminding me of combinations so ravishing The lipstick you smudged on my thirsty lips The charms you created, totally stunning But all that glittered seemed to fade away Like tangling thoughts gets dull agitating In my eyes the past could never get old You are a mystery, I still feel my darling The scars of your soul had tales unknown Every word I heard was extremely ravaging

The end words on each stanza faithfully describe what an early love that many men like you and I had can do to our psyche. Often throughout our lives we may imagine what it seemed to be, what it could have been like, or even what it was like, but not to be.

Love bonds go on and on long after the person deceases, as long as there is memory and life, it remains with us forever. Thank you for the beautiful well penned poem Rana. hugs

It is interesting how memory recalls things that have become lost in the past. This poem is quite evocative of myriad different feelings.
