From "Sunshine for the Soul Vol. 2" Based on 1 Corinthians 13:11

Poem Artwork

“When I was a child,
I talked like a child,
I thought like a child,
I reasoned like a child.

“When I became a man,
I put childish ways behind me.”

Except for cartoons, soap bubbles,
Rain puddles, pizza for breakfast,
Animal-shaped balloons,
Circus clowns, carnival rides,
Fun houses, puppy kisses,
Catching fireflies, leaf piles,
Hot chocolate after a snowball fight,
And warm hugs when tucked in at night.

Growing older may be inevitable,
But growing up is optional.

Robert ...

You unzip your heart and expose your true self for all to see.

I couldn't agree more ... or less ... to a certain degree ... as long as the pizza isn't as hard as a rock. It's good too with fried eggs on top of it. YUM!

Light and Wisdom ...

... a man after my own heart and soul. This is absolutely wonderful, Robert. I've printed this poem out -- what a dynamite last line: " ... growing up is optional." Again, this is wonderful, and MY ALL TIME FAVORITE poem from you!
Love and much respect for your loving and childlike heart,
CJ
