For my Beloved Husband, Joseph
Water and Shore
Still waters run deep...and lie dormant, in ebb tide.
I am the water...you are the shore.
Prophetic eyes mirror our souls; look into me and see thyself.
The deeper the reflection, the stiller the water
...the greater the suffering and sacrifice.
We are damaged vessels, allied.
Great mysteries unravelling, like balls of flaxen twine,
One painful memory - and one measured step
- one day at a time.
Confined by a wall, which defines our fear of Today,
Passionately clinging to Days Gone By
...Tomorrow slips away.
Yet, Jehovah, our Heavenly Father, had lovingly foreordained
That our flesh, should become one flesh, and no longer twain.
Not just of one flesh -
but of one heart, one mind, and one accord
So we have walked these many years,
and this cherished love, endured.
And still, I am the water...you are the shore.
Beloved Joseph! 'Tis of you, that my heart sings!
My soul ROARS in utter triumph!
Praise to God, with thanksgiving!
The white and ageless sands of time sparkle wildly in the sun,
A warmth gathers at our feet, and everything is one.
For I am the water...and you are the shore.
